Donnafugata

History
in sips

Founded in 1983 by Giacomo Rallo and his wife Gabriella, Donnafugata takes its name from Tomasi di Lampedusa's novel "Il Gattopardo" set in the hills of Contessa Entellina where the company's story began.

In 1989, Donnafugata expanded to Pantelleria, renowned for the cultivation of the Zibibbo grapevine using the traditional "alberello pantesco" training system. Through various innovative and artisanal processes, they created the Ben Ryé Passito di Pantelleria, one of the world's most highly regarded sweet wines.

From the bottles whose names evoke the family members, such as Kikè and MaKiSè Mamarì, to one of the most enchanting locations where one can enjoy a wine tasting while admiring the sunset in Marsala, Cantine Fina was founded in 2005 by Bruno Fina. He succeeded in realizing his dream, encouraged by his wife, and passed on his love for wine to his children, creating a completely family-oriented environment that is the key and driving force behind their business.

History
in sips

The history of the Lombardo winery dates back over a century to 1881 when Giuseppe Lombardo Maltese, a shipowner by profession, decided to commercialize Marsala wine to fully utilize the cargo capacity of his ships. From that moment, the company demonstrated a vocation for exporting its wines worldwide. Remaining a family-run business, the company is rooted in ancient traditions while maintaining a strong drive for innovation. The philosophy of Cantine Lombardo is based on quality, from the grape to the delivery, and is developed through enthusiastic collaboration.
